Do I pay extra if I use the preferences toggle?
No. Each recipe import is one Recipe Toot whether you have preferences on or off. The toggle just changes how the output looks — with preferences on, your dietary swaps are built into the recipe; with preferences off, the original recipe is preserved and your preference tips show alongside it. Pick whichever you prefer for that recipe.
Do Toots roll over if I don't use them all?
Cycle Toots from your monthly subscription reset at the start of each billing period — unused ones don't carry over. Top-up Toots are different: they're banked and carry forward indefinitely while you have an active subscription, used only after your cycle Toots run out. So if you have a quiet month, a top-up still has your back next month. If you cancel your subscription, any remaining banked Toots (top-up or gift) are frozen rather than lost — you keep them, you just can't spend them until you resubscribe, at which point they're restored in full automatically.
What happens when I run out of Recipe Toots?
You can still view, edit, cook from, and organise all your saved recipes — you just can't import new ones until you top up or your cycle Toots renew. Your existing recipes are never affected.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, cancel from the account menu inside the app at any time. You keep your cycle Toots until the end of the current billing period. Once cancellation takes effect, any remaining banked (top-up/gift) Toots are frozen rather than deleted — they're restored automatically, in full, if you resubscribe.
What sources can I import from?
Any public recipe URL — food blogs, TikTok videos, Instagram reels, and more. You can also upload a photo of a handwritten or printed recipe card, or type/paste a recipe as text.
What AI is powering the recipe parsing?
recipe2table uses Claude Sonnet 5 by Anthropic for recipe understanding and structuring (upgraded from Sonnet 4.6). For video content (TikTok, Instagram), it also uses OpenAI Whisper to transcribe spoken recipes from audio.
Is my recipe data private?
Yes. Your recipes are stored on our servers and are only visible to you (unless you explicitly share a recipe link). We don't sell your data. Read the full
