recipe2table is operated by Declan Clancy, an individual based in Ireland. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean Declan Clancy trading as recipe2table. For any questions, email hello@recipe2table.com.
recipe2table is an AI-powered recipe management tool. It lets you import recipes from URLs, photos, and text using artificial intelligence; organise them into collections; generate shopping lists; and cook through guided steps.
We may update, expand, or change features at any time. We will try to give notice of significant changes.
Access requires signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be 16 or older to use the service, in line with EU digital age requirements.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are used fraudulently.
Importing a recipe using AI (from a URL, photo, text, or suggestion) consumes one credit. Certain personalisation features may consume an additional credit as described in the app. Viewing, editing, cooking mode, collections, and shopping lists are always free and use no credits.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a subscription or one-off product you agree to Stripe's terms. Your payment details are held by Stripe — we do not store card numbers.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time through the account menu in the app or via the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain access and credits until then. See §4 above for what happens to any remaining banked (top-up or gift) credits after that.
Under EU consumer law (implemented in Ireland by the Consumer Rights Act 2022), you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content or services without giving a reason.
However, by purchasing a subscription or credit pack and expressly requesting immediate access to the digital content — which you confirm by proceeding through the checkout — you acknowledge that your 14-day withdrawal right is waived from the moment the digital content begins to be supplied to you (i.e. from when your subscription or credits are activated).
If you have purchased a subscription or credit pack and have not yet consumed any credits, you may request a full refund within 14 days by emailing hello@recipe2table.com.
We handle all refund requests reasonably and on a case-by-case basis. Stripe's standard refund policies also apply.
Under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Digital Content and Digital Services Act 2022 (which gives effect to EU Directive 2019/770 in Ireland), you have statutory rights regarding the conformity of digital content and digital services supplied to you.
We warrant that the service functions materially as described on the website and in these terms. If the service does not conform, you have the right to request that we bring it into conformity within a reasonable time. If we cannot do so, you may be entitled to a proportionate price reduction or, where non-conformity is significant, to terminate the contract and receive a refund of any amounts paid.
These statutory rights are in addition to any other rights you have under Irish and EU consumer law, and cannot be excluded or restricted.
The recipes you save, notes you add, and photos you upload belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your content. You can request an export or delete all of it at any time from within the app or by contacting us.
By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you.
When you import a recipe from a URL, the service fetches and reformats content from a third-party website. The original recipe content remains the property of its creator. recipe2table does not claim ownership of any third-party recipe content.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of imported content complies with the original source's terms and applicable copyright law. The service is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
Recipe parsing and structuring is performed by AI models (currently Claude by Anthropic, with Whisper by OpenAI used to transcribe audio from video imports). AI output may occasionally contain errors — incorrect quantities, missing steps, or mistranslations. Always verify recipes before cooking, particularly where allergies or dietary requirements are involved.
AI-generated tips, summaries, and suggestions are provided for convenience only and do not constitute professional dietary or nutritional advice.
The recipe2table name, logo, app design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Declan Clancy. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the service without written permission.
Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or need to respond to infrastructure issues. We will not be liable for losses caused by downtime.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, recipe2table is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to losses arising from AI inaccuracies, data loss, or service interruptions.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law, including your rights under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Digital Content and Digital Services Act 2022.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under EU law (including the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
